February 26, 2025 Webinar with Shelly Kurtz
Stanford Social Innovation Review (https://ssir.org/webinars#)

Is it possible to use AI to make a bigger impact through philanthropy?

There is a growing landscape of AI solutions in the social impact sector, evidenced by Giving Compass and thousands of applications featured by AI4SP (AI for Social Progress).

While these tools are a byproduct of the Tech for Good movement and by extension, AI for Good, it’s important to recognize that not all tools are built equally.

It’s important to consider factors such as cybersecurity, responsible, ethical design and use, and who is on the other side of the tech, including diverse representation and the use of “humanity first” principles.

Chapter 9 of This Little World explores best practices of using AI in the nonprofit sector including the 7 steps to AI adoption.

Co-author Shelly Kurtz will discuss these topics and more in a webinar from Stanford Social Innovation Review, sponsored by DAFGiving360. Kurtz will join fellow panelists Rhodri Davis, Research Fellow at the University of Kent and Fred Kaynor, Managing Director at DAFGiving360, moderated by SSIR editor Aaron Bady.

This virtual event entitled “The Future of Giving: AI’s Role in the Future of Generosity” and takes place on February 26 from 11 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Register today.
